Learning is hard. That’s why at Dismas House, which provides housing for people who’ve recently been released from prison, Kahmiil Middleton works in a program to pair residents with student volunteers from Notre Dame to provide guidance for using Bendable. The aim is to help residents make a new start, whether it’s by acquiring work skills or finishing a degree. “We want our residents to know that they can accomplish whatever they want,” said Kahmiil. “Bendable will really help them do that for themselves.” That is, for themselves—with a hand from others in the community.
