For the past six years, Notre Dame’s Center for Civic Innovation has had intern teams—students from local universities, colleges and high schools—not only learn in the classroom but dig in and tackle some of the community’s most challenging problems. Now, as they look to help others, they’ve found something to help themselves: Bendable. Plans are to access learning opportunities on mental health, computer coding and more. “This is such a great tool,” said Lauren Lounsbury, who manages the program. “It’s a great chance to help the interns become more professionally minded.”
